Your password can include up to 39 alpha-numeric characters, with a minimum of six (6) characters.  You cannot use common or easily guessed words.  Do not forget your password — it cannot be looked up!    If you enter your password incorrectly, you have five (5) tries to log on successfully.  After the 5th failure, the system locks your terminal out for an unspecified amount of time and rejects further attempts to log into the system.

Instead of pressing F8 to exit the screen to change clients, use the PF-C button from the SELECT TEMPLATE screen.

Once a sequence is set up, you may not make changes except to retire, change print status or mark as the default

You may delete a sequence if it has never been used.

You may pre determine your transaction sequence by setting it up on your template beforehand using PF1-S

Automatically create multiple transactions using Chained Templates

For example, recording both sides of a transfer of funds.  This can be done within one general ledger or crossing multiple ledgers.

Quickly change the report date after running a package without exiting by using the PF-D button at the bottom of the screen

This is not available in Run $Quick.

You may save groups of favorite packages in a favorites group and a single favorite group can be set as the default

When a favorite group  is selected on the reports screen, the list of available packages is restricted to only those packages in the favorites group  selected.

Why wait until the end of the month to reconcile your bank accounts. Contact Zenith today to find out how you can automate your bank reconciliations.

For Gold Terminal users, when committing (F10) a bank reconciliation, the system can be configured to automatically save a PDF copy of the bank reconciliation report

Image Organizer allows you to add “tag” information to scanned documents

The purpose of the tag is to give advisory information regarding the processing of the document, e.g., “OK to Process”, etc.  Please contact Zenith for additional details.

Image Organizer manages permanent documents in addition to transaction images

Use the Client Mode function with no journal to associate documents to any general ledger master code or sub code.

You may associate an image to a transaction and save a copy in pending for future payments by changing the Action button from Move to Copy

Copy blocks of sub codes from one master to another in one step using Tools in chart of accounts

If you use the numeric keypad to enter the code numbers, it is convenient to use the period key “.” on the keypad as your wild card character

Zenith’s New Explorer Function Improves Navigation

A new function has been added to Zenith Gold that offers even more ways to sort and view data with a click. Zenith Explorer now allows you to view general ledger data using either a tree view, similar to Windows Explorer, or a drill down menu.

With either interface, you can browse detailed information about postings, general ledger master codes, sub-codes and clients, including scanned and bank images. You may also toggle between cash and accrual versions of each ledger.

The drill down interface offers the following additional features:

1) Searching, sorting, grouping, summarizing and filtering records
Data displayed in a grid is easily manipulated in multiple ways.  A single click switches the year.

2) Charting displayed data
Master codes, sub-codes and postings may be easily plotted in either a pie chart or column format.

3) Extracting data to Excel Add-In
Data currently displayed in a drill down grid can be loaded directly into an Excel spreadsheet.

Manage Data Easier and Faster with Zenith Excel Add-In

Zenith Gold has been enhanced with an Excel Add-In feature, allowing you to extract data fields directly from the Zenith database to and from your spreadsheet.

Create refreshable reports across one ledger for a single time period or across all ledgers and years where data is available. It’s never been easier to manipulate large data sets and work with massive amounts of information.

Zenith Delivers Powerful New Query Tool

Zenith Gold now features a Query and Analysis (QA) function that enables you to load and customize various pre-defined queries into the Zenith database and display results in a grid. Similar to the Zenith Explorer drill down feature, this tool enables you to load the data into a spreadsheet via Excel Add-In.

Create powerful Excel pivot tables to better analyze and report data from single or multiple ledgers and years. Search, sort, group, summarize and filter records to make fast and effective comparisons.

This initial release allows access to commonly used tables in the database, with more to come. Additional analytical tools and enhancements will be added in the months ahead.
