Maintenance With MTS+
Today, most
small business organizations are relying more than ever on their
computer networks. In this environment, management must focus on
improving network quality, network support, and network security
to succeed. The environment is too complex for a single staff member
or outside technician to insure that the firm's network will remain
viable and that all software and communication requirements continue
to be satisfied. Network support now means business survival. When
the network or a workstation is down, the entire firm's efficiency
and profitability is affected. Down time must be kept to a minimum.
The Zenith Group
has responded to this new reality with a Windows based network management
system called Managed Technology Services (MTS+).
An office managed
by MTS+ does not have to call a dispatcher and schedule technician
time when a failure occurs. Under MTS+ the office places a call
to the help desk to report the problem. The help desk can immediately
start to troubleshoot the problem. Delays caused by scheduling conflicts
or bad traffic are avoided. If the Help Desk cannot remotely solve
the problem within 15 minutes, the failing workstation is automatically
formatted and all required software is reinstalled. If the problem
is determined to be a hardware error, a spare workstation is automatically
configured identically to the old workstation. Configuration takes
approximately 30 minutes. If an on-site visit is required, a technician
will call and schedule an appointment time. Adding a new workstation
to the network becomes a 30-minute task.
In addition
to efficient network management, Managed Technology Services includes
the benefits of roaming the office, remote access identical to office
access, and software licensing support.
